The Role of Character
The Art of Suspense
The Plot, Pacing, and Character Outline
The Evolution of Ideas
High Concept. What is a Great Book?
Theme is a Novel’s Backbone
Point of View
1) Critique groups will be established as part of the class structure.
2) Students may submit three pages of new work each week for instructor’s feedback.
3) Writing exercises each class.
4) Individual instructor feedback.
