Quote of the Week

"When I think about [characters], I like to think of them in their relationships to each other. In the same way, I think that’s how humans are ultimately defined. We are our relationships to one another. And a lot of what’s interesting about us happens in the context of other people.”

  John Green

Prompt of the Week

Over the course of one week, five high-profile trial lawyers go missing. What happened to them? Are their disappearances connected?

Along Came Mr. Right

Olivia Tyler loves helping foster children find their forever homes, but she’s still waiting for her forever love. Ever since her ex-boyfriend humiliated her on Facebook, she hasn’t been ready for a commitment. But on the night of the charity auction for her adoption agency, she gives in to temptation with a stranger who helps her out of a jam…and out of her bright-blue stilettos.

But when Olivia finds out her mystery man is also someone else’s fiancé, no matter how much they seem to click, this romance doesn’t add up. When a troubled teen comes to both of them for help, Olivia is willing to put their differences aside temporarily. But as the three spend time together, she discovers the truth about Max’s heart, and it just may be the key to opening her own.

The Inheritance: An Inlet Beach Novel

It started with three letters. Letters to three estranged sisters describing an inheritance: a magnificent beach house on a bluff, overlooking the ocean, and to each of the sisters, this inheritance has come at exactly the right time.

Maureen’s family is scattered. Her children are getting older, with friends and lives of their own, and her husband of 20 years works long hours at his job. This beach house could mean a private retreat for her family before her teenage children leave her with an empty nest. Lydia, the middle sister, makes it a habit to live far above her income. A quick sale of prime beach property would give her money she desperately needs to pay off creditors. Tyra, the youngest sister, wants something very different: a second chance. Her drug conviction fifteen years prior tore the family apart and she has been alone ever since. This inheritance will bring the sisters together physically, and the way Tyra uses that time will determine if she gets the chance she wants.
