Our mission is to develop writing talent through education, accessibility to the publishing industry, and participation in an interactive, writer community.
Regular membership is only $65/year & student memberships are only $25/year.
Since 1955, writers in the NW have been dedicated to helping writers connect to other writers, publishers, agents, and editors across the country. Zola Helen Ross and Lucille McDonald came together to form the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and since the beginning many people have dedicated their time to ensure that continuation. Over the years we have expanded our efforts to ensure that writers receive a trusted resource within this ever-changing publishing industry. All the while staying true to the mission and purpose of helping writers’ carve out their place and provide them with a platform for their literary voice.
PNWA does many things to help and encourage writers, but it could do little without the help of its volunteers.
the Board of Trustees to the Summer Conference and Literary contest,
PNWA relies on volunteers to make things happen. Volunteering allows you
to get involved in a community of people all focused on the same thing, WRITING. How great is that!
We'd love to start working with you. If you have questions about volunteering please call (425-673-2665) or email us.
Board of Directors
We have a fabulous Board of Trustees, made up of an Executive Committee and a group of amazingly motivated Members. This group of dedicated writers and volunteers focus all year on association development, member enhancements, contests, our annual conference, and other events.
